individual psychotherapy
reconnecting with the self and the parts of the self is an important step in healing and moving forward. additionally, being able to tap into intuition is a key factor in determining what we have been missing that has been keeping us from feeling more at peace and fulfilled. deep down you probably know what’s best for you, and i’m ready to help you untangle that with you and help you move closer to where you’d like to be.
it is my perspective that the body-mind connection is more unified than we ever imagined. for these reasons, sessions are focused on understanding how the past has shaped you, tuning in to the self and expanding the mind-body connection. with an increased capacity to implement these things, you will have a more effective capacity to face the challenges that have brought you here.
i try to guide sessions between processing unconscious feelings, highlighting the impact of thoughts on emotions, and sensations that are housed in the body—while tuning in to the self to integrate new insights and understandings to help alter you perception of your self, the past, and relationships. i also help client build up their tool kit with coping skills, effective ways to set boundaries, increased communication skills, and great flexibility in their thinking.
my therapeutic approach is client centered, mindfulness and intuitive based, internal family systems focused, existentialist emotion focused, body (somatic) oriented, psychodynamic, depth-oriented, attachment-based, humanistic, and at times, solution focused.
